About the Artist

A budding pastelist with a reverence for nature, Sara Marinello grew up in the rolling hills and lakes of Upstate New York and has built a 25+ year career protecting wildlife. Now she is sharing her love of nature through her landscape paintings. As an amateur landscape photographer, she brings to her paintings an eye for light, color, texture and composition.

Artist’s Statement:

I am in awe of the power and beauty of nature. It can be spiritual, healing and empowering, yet humbling and fierce. I am drawn to the ethereal dance of color and light in a sunset and how the evening sun and moon illuminate the landscapes and streetscapes below. I enjoy the challenge of resolving the struggles of a painting and marvel at those transportive moments of magic that can happen in the process. Through my paintings, I hope to share how I experience the power and beauty of nature by emotionally transporting the viewer on a short journey of discovery.
